CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME

I haven't been home since Christmas and i am SO ready for the warm weather..[did i mention that it snowed today??] I miss the family and the homestead,,I am even more excited to bring my most favorite person in the WHOLE world who happens to be my favorite traveling buddy!

TEXAS!!!

This last weekend was one of the best in a very long time!! I got to go to Texas with Skyler. I had SO SO much fun and absolutely LOVED the warm weather [it STILL hasn't warmed up here]. I clicked with the whole family really well which was a BIG relief. It was kind of like when you meet someone and have a immediate connection like you knew them before. ANYWAYS he is from a small town in east Texas called, Lindale. I loved it. It wasn't TOO small but it was not big either. It had everything a town needed and is absolutely beautiful, i mean green and tree's EVERYWHERE. I am not gonna lie, it was alot prettier than i pictured Texas being. We got to go to SKyler's younger brother, Zach's graduation then he actually flew back with us and started second block summer classs today. Let me tell you, Zach is so cute. I don't know what happened but for some reason Zach got the height genes[he is 6'2] and Skyler ended up being the butt of every family joke. I had a great weekend and am excited to finally have a sister i can talk to [gentry is 14 and at that stage where she just LOVES older girls]! I got to meet some of Skyler's friends from high school and spend time with both sides of his family. Texas was such a good experience and it just got me that much more excited to spend the rest of my life with Skyler. Now i have California next week to look forward to!!! i can't wait, i just LOVE traveling....anyone else want me to pay them a visit?

cinco de mayo

This year Cinco De Mayo fell on a monday so OF COURSE we had to have a party for FHE. We decided that we were going to DECK out our apartment and make all kinds of mexican treats!! We had enchilada's, bean's, rice and Jarritto's. Everyone crammed into our small apartment talked, laughed, ate and of course danced to some Spanish music. (It was actually Portuguese because that's all Skyler has but no one knew the difference!!) This was nothing like a Cinco De Mayo celebration you would find back in Brentwood, but we all had a blast!!

the countdown has begun!!
last week Skyler and I made a countdown till our wedding day! Everyday it seems like time is passing so slow but thinking about it, we've already been engaged for over a month and less than 3 till we get married!!!! I can't wait, i'm a giddy girl at this point!

summer

summer semester is finally here!!! The weather is actually starting to warm up and i am getting excited for the summer with all my favorite people.
This semester i moved in with my favorite friends(we really have the funnest apartment i have ever had)get to be with my babyand have some of the best friends i could ever ask forAnd at the end of this semester i am getting MARRIED!!!
I can't even express how excited i am to marry Skyler. He has made me happier than any other person has ever made me and i can't wait to spend my life with him, raise children with him, and share all my trials with him.
This is going to be a semester to remember, and i PROMISE to blog more!

6. Those family games that just bring out the best in everyone. (we did share some laughs through all the competition)
5. Dying easter eggs with the family, skyler, and all the roomies!
4. My family was here so i got to bail out of 8:15 church after sacrament. AND then got a tasty breakfast of waffles and bacon.
3. EASTER BASKETS!!! Skyler hadn't gotten one for years so it was way fun for him to get one, and i always love tasty treats.
2. I got to be with my family, skyler, closest friends, and ROOMIES all in one.
