After only a week and a half in our new place Skyler received a job offer from Apple. The job is perfect for him and we know this is the job he was supposed to get. It is a position where he will be speaking Portuguese and doing business with Brazil for Apple. There was a reason the lord sent Skyler on a mission to Brazil and we can't help but feeling so blessed. They want him to start right around Carters birthday so around thanksgiving we will be packing up our place and moving to CALIFORNIA! We are so excited for the opportunity and are excited to be living only an hour from my parents and 30 minutes from a major airport!! So here we are moving for the second time in one month...we are going to miss our place, rexburg and all our friends here but can't wait to start the next phase of our lives together!

Home
We moved! It wasn't the super exciting move out of Idaho I was expecting at this point in time. We are just across the highway. But, It's still exciting to have a place, and we LOVE our new place. Its perfect for us. As long as we are all together I am exactly where I want to be.
Plus Carter loved playing in boxes and sliding down his mattress on the stairs till he laughed so hard he couldn't breathe!!!

2 months!!!
My little Ellie Claire is 2 months old, today we took her to her 2 month appointment.
Height: 22 1/2 inches (35%)
Weight: 10 lbs. 3 oz. (20%)
She smiles!
Loves when people talk to her, she looks around for where the voice is coming from then always makes eye contact.
She loves to have her diaper changed.
LOVES her baths just like her big brother did.
Most of the time she rather lay by herself than be held.
Absolutely loves her binky, already addicted.
She is an amazing sleeper, she wakes up once or twice at night to eat but then goes right back to sleep.
Already a champ at hospital stays and doctors visit. (hope that slows down)
She is very calm and rarely cries.

Ellie's blessing day
Sunday October 16th Ellie was blessed by her daddy. The circle included her Grandpa Groseclose, her Great grandpa Groseclose, her Great uncle Mark, and a few friends including Rob Hazen, Tom Bacciocco, Jeff Olson, Barry Schwitters, and Brian Rudd.
Skyler gave Ellie the most beautiful blessing and I am so glad she was surrounded by a group of men that I know truly love her and our little family. Ellie was blessed in the same dress I was blessed in and I hope one day she will want to bless her daughter in it too.
She looked absolutely beautiful and I was SO happy to share the special day with so many friends and family. I really wish I had a picture of EVERYONE who was there but we were having too much fun and completely forgot!
Ellie is so lucky to have such an awesome group of people who love her so much already!

My poor Ellie
By far the worst part about being a mom is seeing your babies sick or in pain!!! The other day I got to experience this in full blast. Thursday night Ellie woke up screaming, we couldn't get her to eat or sleep at all. I looked up all kinds of things online and thought maybe she just has colic. After about 12 hours I knew it had to be something more so I dropped Carter off at a friends and headed to the doctor with my little girl. They did all the normal things (weight, height, temperature, ect.) and her temperature was high. The doctor needed to find out why so he ran a blood test, an X-ray of her tummy, and put a catheter in her to take a pee sample. After about an hour all the results came back normal except the blood test, it showed her white blood cell count at 23,000 which is almost twice the normal amount. He came in the room and told me I needed to take her to the hospital so they can do a spinal tap on her and start her on IV antibiotics. I guess the fever and high WBC count where a sign of a bad infection somewhere in her body and the doctor thought it might be meningitis. I freaked out. I was so scared. A spinal tap on a 2 week old??? Is that even possible? A million things ran through my head. I called Skyler and he met me at the hospital where Ellie was immediately admitted to the NICU. They didn't know what the infection was yet but they started her on IV antibiotics to fight whatever it was. Within hours the doctor did a spinal tap (HORRIBLE) and my poor girl became a human pin cushion.
The next morning we got the results from the spinal tap and they were NEGATIVE for meningitis, SUCH a relief, we knew she still had something...just not that. After a few days in the NICU and multiple tests ran on my little Ellie she was diagnosed with sepsis.
The antibiotics were working and within days her white blood cell count was back to a normal range and her fever was gone. The NICU released us as soon as 2 blood cultures taken 24 hours apart came back negative for bacteria in her bloodstream.
We were so relieved to know that she was going to be ok and she started to act like a normal baby again. Having a baby in the hospital is SO scary and absolutely heartbreaking but I know heavenly father was watching over us the entire time. We are so glad to be back home and have our babies in one nest again. She is on oral antibiotics for 7 days then we should be home free!! :)

7 years in the making!!
Skyler started college at BYU-Idaho back in 2004, after a year of school he left to serve a mission in Brazil for 2 years then returned in 2007. That's when we met and maybe slacked off in school a little bit :)! We got married in 2008 and we took 2 semesters off to work and enjoy the newlywed life! Plans changed a little bit when I had Carter the week before finals Dec. 2009. We knew that we (errr Skyler) needed to focus on school and get things done so we can move on from our lives in the little bubble of Rexburg. That next semester Skyler got on fast grad and went to school year round for 1.5 years AND worked full time. It was tough, he would head off for his day of work and school at 7 AM and not get home for the day till 8. Some of those days he had tests/projects/ect and it would be much later. We looked forward to July 2011 for so long and could not wait for it to be over! Even though at the time it seemed like it would never come, it did! Skyler Graduated from BYUI with a bachelors degree in Business Marketing!!
I am sooo proud of him and all the hard work he put into his degree!! He would go to work and school and still come home and play with Carter and give mama a break whenever he could! I am so grateful to have a husband who is willing to work so hard to take care of his family!! Love love love you Skyler!!

splish splash!
The weather here in Rexburg has FINALLY heated up and we are loving it. I'm not sure if we have hit 90 yet but the 80's have been great. Carter loves to play outside so I figured it was the perfect time to get him a kiddie pool. I hit the jackpot with this one, he LOVES it and I love lounging outside working on my tan as he plays in it for hours straight!
I have been back blogging like crazy so scroll down for a few more new posts!
