A few weeks ago Carter discovered the toilet paper and I can't keep him away from it. He absolutely loves sitting there and emptying the entire roll of toilet paper onto the floor. He then loves ripping it apart into many MANY pieces. He looks so dang cute doing I can't even think about being mad about it.
For the past few weeks Carter has been eating everything that mama and dada eat. I wasn't sure about it at first but our doctor told us to do it so he learns that he eats we do and not his own special different food. I love it and he does too. I just chop up whatever we are eating and let him have at it. He eats 100X better than he ever did with baby food and he is sleeping much longer, 2, half hour naps a day has increased to 2, 2 hour naps....heaven! We love our good little eater!
This year for my birthday Skyler got me a bike! I LOVE IT!! I have wanted a bike for so long and now I finally have one. Skyler got a baby seat for it and Carter and I love going for bike rides when daddy is at work.

Carter and I spent the last half of August traveling together. First we flew to San Diego to visit the Hazen family. I hadn't been to San Diego since Carter was born so I was really excited for him to enjoy some southern California sun. Just as I expected Carter loved every minute of it. He loved all the attention he got from the kids and of course his auntie Rachel. We swam A LOT, went to legoland, the beach, shopped, laughed, ate and of course missed Skyler and wished he was there sharing in all the fun!
After a week and a half in San Diego we jumped on another plane and headed up north to Brentwood for my birthday. Skyler met us there at the airport and we were VERY happy to see his cute face again! I had all kinds of things that I wanted to do when I was "home" and almost did them all. We went to six flags, the redwoods, Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, soccer games, shopped in Walnut Creek, ate some yummy mexican food, saw lots of friends, and got to celebrate my birthday with family. My mom spoiled Carter with all his favorite foods, some to-die-for denim diapers, and lots of new clothes. We had so much fun and did not want to leave after only a week!
Carter is my most favorite travel buddy [behind his daddy] and we feel so blessed that we are able to do so many fun things with the little guy!
I can NOT believe that I have a 9 month old. This has been the fastest year of my life and I am ready for it to slow d0wn. I love being a mommy and it gets more fun as the months pass. Carters 9 month stats:
