4 months!

Carter is 4 months old!! I seriously can not believe it and I just time to slow down a little bit. I look back and can't believe how much he has already changed. I can't help but think, did I enjoy him enough. He now just loves to play. He is very independent. I miss the times where I used to be able to cuddle him all day long and he would just sleep on me, he wasn't picky about how you held him as long as he was being held and loved. However I do LOVE how Carter is now, he is so fun. He interacts with you so much more and everything makes the boy laugh. He scoots all over the floor on his back and is a ton of fun.The doctor told me at his 4 month appointment to start feeding him rice cereal. I went and bought some but STILL haven't given it to him. I am not ready. I feel like rice cereal is such a big boy thing. I remember seeing rice cereal at the store and thinking that Carter won't be eating that for sooo long and now that time is here. Anyways...here are his stats.

Carter's new favorite thing is laughing at mom&dad. His laugh absolutely warms my heart and can put a smile on my face in an instant. I ADORE this video.

Carter is also starting to enjoy his tummy time more and more. He has learned to lift himself so he can look around the room.

3 month stats

Yesterday Carter went in for an appointment and they took his 3 month stats. Everytime I go in I can't believe how much my baby boy has grown.

Carter is :

Height: 24 1/4 inches (52%)
Weight: 12 lbs. 5 oz. (17%)
Even though his stats still say he is skinny, he is seriously getting some chub. It is sooo cute! I love his little chubby cheeks that he is starting to get.At 3 months Carter LOVES to play, he hits, grabs and sucks on all his toys. I can just lay him down and he will play for an hour. He also is a big talker. He coo's at everything, it is so cute. When I leave the room I can hear him in the other room just talking. I LOVE IT! In his love for playing he has lost interest in naps, he rather play. This makes for one grumpy baby come night time. I TRY to get him to go down but it is hit and miss. Some days he will take two nice 3 hour naps during the day, other days I can only get and hour or 2 of naps total. He was on such an awesome schedule but now he rather just play. I am working on getting him back to a good napping routine. Besides that he smiles more and more with each passing day and is ABSOLUTELY the love of our lives!!

Rainbow

OK so remember THIS blog post from months and months ago? I finally got around to making my rainbow cake, only I made cupcakes instead. We had company for the weekend and I thought it would be a perfect treat. They turned out awesome and tasted yummier than regular cupcakes just because they were rainbow. So easy and fun to do!
