18 months

Carter turned 18 months at the end of May. I can not believe how fast time has flown! These last few months Carter has grown SO MUCH in every way and keeping up with him has been fun and tiring! Carters 18 Month stats:

Height: 34 inches (90%)
Weight: 25 lbs. 2 oz. (25%)

Carter is 100% boy, he loves anything with wheels! You can usually find him pushing a car/truck/train/tractor, ect around the floor. He runs on his toes and it is the cutest thing EVER.
He is off his baba and drinks juice, water, and milk out of sippys or a straw.
Boo boo is finally good at restraunts, he will sit at the table and eat all of his food, good boy :)!
Carter is a very quiet and thoughtful reader, he reads everything (dvd's, books, cd's, cereal boxes, food labels, ect). He will read something for a good 5 minutes before he moves to the next thing/page. The only noise he makes when he is reading is if he see's something he recognizes like, "ball", "manny", "quack quack", ect.He is transitioning to only one nap a day (against my will, haha) but still sleeps for a good 2.5 hours when he naps.
Carter goes to bed about 8:30 pm and wakes up about 8 am.
He makes the sounds of a kitty, dog, bee, monkey, train, elephant, chicken, duck and tractor. His vocabulary has EXPLODED in the last few months, it includes, hi. no. yes. ball. bath. thank you. mama. dada. out. baba. juice. nana. hot. shoe. baby. kitty. dude. cheese. oh no. i do. i NEED. i know. i don't know.
Carter LOVES to go to the park. He loves everything about it, the slides, swings, bridge, all the other kids, and especially checking out all the cool bike tires on all the bikes at the park, haha! He also loves to count everything... 2, 2, 2, 2. so funny!
Almost everything I tell Carter he responds, I know. It cracks everyone up, never known a boy who knows so much, haha!!Carter loves strawberries and can down a carton in a day or two.
Carter loves Mickey mouse, handy manny and chuggington.
He would play outside all day if I would let him, he LOVES the outdoors just like his mommy and daddy. One of the favorite things about Carter is how much he LOVES babies. He pets their heads and says "awwwwww" and then tries to take care of them. If they cry he gives them a binkie or a baba. He loves to makes babies smile and laugh. It makes me feel 100% better about how he is going to react to our new baby.I love being this little guys mommy more than anything in the whole world!!!

easter

I hate getting behind on blogging cause the amount of back blogging I have to do is insane. I have thought about getting around to it but I probably won't. So I am starting here and hopefully (yeah right....) not going to get behind again.

SO Easter...My parents came up here for the weekend and I was sooo excited that they did. I called/texted every hour (probably more) to see where they were and when they finally got to Pocatello I was counting down the minutes. Its always so fun to have visitors up here, I love taking everyone around to my favorite spots in town and I LOVE having my mom cook for me! I was looking through my pictures and have ZERO of any of my family when they were here so this is going to be another blog of just pictures of Carter, surprise surprise. My mom's friend/my friend Lisa-Marie (isn't that weird when you and your mom have some of the same friends) invited us to their neighborhood Easter egg hunt. We were late and missed the hunt but they set up some extra eggs for Carter to hunt, he was more interested in running around but did stop for a few eggs. After the hunt we went over to their house and Carter had a blast jumping on the trampoline with cute little Meg. It was probably one of the cutest things in the world. On Easter morning the Easter bunny brought Carter a tonka truck basket full of lot's of candy and a basketball hoop. I don't know which one Carter was more excited about. It was so fun to watch his excitement and get to enjoy a relaxing Easter sunday with my family.

And here I am at 22 weeks (last week I think) rocking a much bigger bump this time around. Right around 19 weeks I woke up and all the sudden my belly was huge, like waaay more pregnant than I am huge but it has slowed down. I am having a really good pregnancy and still can't believe I am having a girl. I think about everyday how blessed I am...I seriously could not ask for more. I LOVE my husband with everything in me and Carter has made our family so perfect, I can't wait to see how much joy baby girl is going to bring to us :))))))!

spring break

For Skyler's spring break we decided to take a trip to sunny Arizona to visit family. I was looking forward to some sun shine from the second I booked the tickets. We unfortunately brought the cold weather with us for the first 2 days but it finally warmed up and Carter wore shorts every day we were there. The Phoenix ZooBonfire at Mamie'sBeing cute with Dada
I obviously forgot to take very many pictures but these are the cuties I have. We had so much fun and with every vacation it reminds me how ready I am to leave ice cold Rexburg forever.

December catch up

We had such a busy and FUN December. We were tired of the cold and snow in Rexburg so Carter and I headed to California for a few days while Skyler finished up his semester. We had lots of fun hanging out with my family, eating at my FAVE willy's, and of course my mom had her annual soup party when we were in town. From Brentwood we drove down to LA for my Best Friend Jennie's wedding. The wedding was absolutely FABULOUS! Beautiful and so much fun. I am so glad I got to be there to see my sweet Jennie sealed to her amazing husband Ar bear. After the wedding Carter and I flew to Dallas and met Skyler and his brother Ladd at the airport, then headed to Nana and Poopaws for Christmas. I love Texas and I had so much fun being with all his family. Everyone was there [except Zach who is on a misson] and it was a house full of lots of fun. Carter loved all the kids and literaly ran around all day and didn't want to be held for a second. Now we are finally back home and back to real life. Skyler is about to start his second to last semester at school. We are trying to enjoy the last few months in Rexburg because we have no idea what life has in store for us when he graduates. 2010 was an awesome year and we can't wait to see what 2011 and in store for us.With this CUTEST smiling face I know that it will be the best one yet!

Trials.

A few weeks before Carters first birthday I found out I was pregnant. I, we, were ecstatic. I have always wanted my first 2 kids to be close in age. We did the math and Baby #2 and Carter were going to be 20 months apart, perfect. The baby was due in July, right after Skyler's college graduation, PERFECT!! Everything was just absolutely perfect. I was so excited and wanted to tell everyone but this time around Skyler wanted to wait. We went to California for thanksgiving and I kept my little bundle of joy a secret even though I wanted to shout it from the rooftops.
The day we got back I started cramping...I knew it was weird because that never happened with Carter but after some research concluded that it was normal and I was probably fine. A few days later I noticed blood and knew that was not normal and started to worry. I tried to ignore it but it consumed my thoughts for 2 days so I decided I needed to go to my doctor. My doctor told me that many women spot during pregnancy so I should be fine but he would run a routine ultrasound just to check. I was very relieved and couldn't wait to see my little baby. I called up Skyler and he came in to share the joy. The doctor performed a normal ultrasound and found nothing. I started to worry but the doctor told me that it's just early and needed to do an internal ultrasound. The doctor started the second ultrasound and I was staring at the screen. I wanted to see my little baby moving and its little heart beating more than anything in the world. After what seemed like forever the doctor broke the news to me that my baby was no longer viable. My heart broke, I have never felt anything like it in my life. I felt like I would never get over this. I felt mad. I felt sad. I felt frustrated, i never got to find out if i was having a boy or girl. I have always felt like being a mom is what I am supposed to do. I love it, I love everything about it. I have never been happier having a loving husband and an adorable, completely perfect in my eyes son. Why would heavenly father give me a baby and then take it away before I even got to hold it? I cried and cried, for days and days. People told me I could just have another but I didn't even want to think about another. I wanted the one I had just lost. I wanted THAT baby and nothing could replace it.
As the days have gone by I have been getting better. Skyler and Carter bring me so much joy and I am so blessed to have both of them. I need to be grateful for what I have. I KNOW heavenly father will bless me with more kids, I KNOW I am supposed to be a mom. I feel it with everything in me. I will never forget my baby that I lost but I know my heart will heal in time. Miscarriage is the hardest thing I have EVER been through but I know I can do it. Heavenly father would never give me more than I could handle. I know that if me and my little family have faith we will get through this and anything else life will throw at us.
I am not usually one who likes to talk openly about my problems but I felt the urge to write about this. I hope my story will comfort someone who maybe is or will go through a similar situation comforting.

partyy!

While we were in California for Thanksgiving we had a first birthday party for Carter. He LOVED all the attention, cake, and presents.

Carter was not down to take pictures, he just wanted his cake.
handmade by skyler and I. I was very proud. How my poor baby spent his actual birthday. Sick, in jammies, cuddling with his momma all day.
