i looove weddings

2 of skyler's best friends got married only one week apart from each other. This gave us the best excuse to take an extra long vacation...(hence the lack of blogging).

First we drove to Mesa Arizona for Tanner and Elicia's wedding. They had the sweetest wedding/sealing I had ever seen. Elicia's 2 little girls were sealed to them and I seriously lost it. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I could see God's hand in their marriage and it has never been so clear to me how strong and perfect God's plan is for us all. I wish I would have taken more pictures but my mind was going a million miles an hour and I lacked.In between weddings we stayed a week at Skyler's mom's house in Thatcher. It was so much fun to spend time with amy, wade, and gentry. We went through all of skyler's high school pictures, notebooks, clothes, ect and had too many laughs over it. We had such an amazing week with them and were not ready to leave by the end of the week. Once again I did not take NEARLY enough pictures...I really wish I would of got one with wade, Carter seriously thought he was sooo funny. Carter and MamieMamie bought carter this bathrobe and he was soo funny wearing it.

After leaving thatcher we drove 8 hours to vegas for Jon and Ashton's wedding. We hit the strip Friday night with Tanner and Elicia and did not get nearly enough sleep before the big wedding on saturday.Jon and Ashton's wedding was absolutely beautiful. They were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple then had a recpetion after. I have NEVER been so obsessed with a wedding dress in my whole life. Her dress made me want to marry Skyler again just so I could wear it. Anyways their reception was SO fun. A TON of our friends were there and we danced till we were sore. We are so happy for both lovely couples and were not ready to return home to school and work. Now we are back into the grind and I will update on carter soon!

4 months!

Carter is 4 months old!! I seriously can not believe it and I just time to slow down a little bit. I look back and can't believe how much he has already changed. I can't help but think, did I enjoy him enough. He now just loves to play. He is very independent. I miss the times where I used to be able to cuddle him all day long and he would just sleep on me, he wasn't picky about how you held him as long as he was being held and loved. However I do LOVE how Carter is now, he is so fun. He interacts with you so much more and everything makes the boy laugh. He scoots all over the floor on his back and is a ton of fun.The doctor told me at his 4 month appointment to start feeding him rice cereal. I went and bought some but STILL haven't given it to him. I am not ready. I feel like rice cereal is such a big boy thing. I remember seeing rice cereal at the store and thinking that Carter won't be eating that for sooo long and now that time is here. Anyways...here are his stats.

Carter's new favorite thing is laughing at mom&dad. His laugh absolutely warms my heart and can put a smile on my face in an instant. I ADORE this video.

Carter is also starting to enjoy his tummy time more and more. He has learned to lift himself so he can look around the room.

3 month stats

Yesterday Carter went in for an appointment and they took his 3 month stats. Everytime I go in I can't believe how much my baby boy has grown.

Carter is :

Height: 24 1/4 inches (52%)
Weight: 12 lbs. 5 oz. (17%)
Even though his stats still say he is skinny, he is seriously getting some chub. It is sooo cute! I love his little chubby cheeks that he is starting to get.At 3 months Carter LOVES to play, he hits, grabs and sucks on all his toys. I can just lay him down and he will play for an hour. He also is a big talker. He coo's at everything, it is so cute. When I leave the room I can hear him in the other room just talking. I LOVE IT! In his love for playing he has lost interest in naps, he rather play. This makes for one grumpy baby come night time. I TRY to get him to go down but it is hit and miss. Some days he will take two nice 3 hour naps during the day, other days I can only get and hour or 2 of naps total. He was on such an awesome schedule but now he rather just play. I am working on getting him back to a good napping routine. Besides that he smiles more and more with each passing day and is ABSOLUTELY the love of our lives!!

Rainbow

OK so remember THIS blog post from months and months ago? I finally got around to making my rainbow cake, only I made cupcakes instead. We had company for the weekend and I thought it would be a perfect treat. They turned out awesome and tasted yummier than regular cupcakes just because they were rainbow. So easy and fun to do!

Our greatest blessing

Over Valentines weekend our family headed up to Idaho to bless Carter. We were so excited to have both of our families come up for a very busy weekend. By friday night our house was full of family and a ton of laughing. Skyler, I, and Carter were so excited to have everyone at OUR house and were in heaven all weekend.On saturday we decided to do a half day at Grand Targhee Ski resort and a few of us headed up there for a few hours. It was so ton of fun and I was excited to be able to get some boarding in this season [Thank you to the grandma's for watching the baby]. [scotty boy was a pro by the end of the day]That night the whole group loaded up and we went to dinner and then desert.
[The evans siblings all happend to wear grey that night..of course we had to take a picture.] While pounding down some froyo I looked over and Poopaw had Carter laughing. It was the CUTEST thing I had ever seen.

Sunday was the blessing day and we all were up early trying to figure 11 people getting showered before a 9:30 church meeting. One of the funniest things was wade trying to wash amy's hair in the kitchen sink! [I wish I got a picture]
Sunday was a special meeting Elder Quentin L. Cook spoke to our stake. Half way through the meeting we realized that in all the morning craziness Skyler put Carter's blessing outfit on backwards. After the switch it was time to bless Carter. We all went into the primary room and had our own little program. Skyler gave Carter the most beautiful blessing. Right after the bishop asked us to bear our testimonies and of course I cried the whole way through. I felt so thankful that Carter had so much family there that love and support him. Carter is truly OUR greatest blessing and has brought Skyler and I together even stronger than before. I love our little family so much and I can't wait to watch my little boy grow up in the church with such a loving family to always support him. Carter's blessing weekend was truly perfect and I could not have asked for anything more from the weekend.
